- Cardinals were top 10 against the pass last week, holding down Spencer Rattler
- even dating back to last year only one of the final 6 QBs they faced topped 235 yards. Weirdly 3 scored rushing touchdowns. One of those being Bryce Young with 158 pass yards and got a rush score though.
- I partly worried if McMillan gets limited, where the pass volume will come from for Bryce here.

- Unsurprisingly led the Panthers in targets, receptions, and yards. This was the projection all offseason, no surprises.
- home town game if you count where he went to college?
- 23% target share, 40% of team air yards
- Will get 2nd round rookie Will Johnson who saw 7 targets, allowed 4 for 32, defended 3 passes, had an INT called back. He was PFFs 2nd graded corner in his first game and he played both left and right corner about equally. He had a 90.3 coverage grade. Oh, he's also 6'2 with the 13th longest arm length in last year's class. Can match up with Teteroa

- Inefficient last week, but had 19 touches including a few grabs and none of the other backs had more than 3 carries
- Game script could get rough for Chuba, but it may also lead to more pass catching, especially if they can't get McMillan going
- I could say volume C, but chuba has been solid enough and his volume is generally around 20 touches with multiple catches so I'll give him a B, but he's really a low end RB2 this week for me.
- Alvin Kamara, kendre Miller, and devin neal all 3 were going at 4+ yard per carry clips against the Cardinals last week, they just didn't get the volume Chuba gets

- Carolina only blitzed 5 times last week boasting the leagues lowest pressure rate. Kyler will have time to pass and make plays on top of his normal rushing floor when he can't find anyone.
- Carolina allowed multiple scores to their final 5 QBs they faced last year for a total of 16 scores in 5 games. Lawrence didn't hit it last week, but Kyler is arguably better and also had 7 rushes for nearly 40 yards on the ground for a safer floor.

- Harrison and McBride had over 80% of the teams receiving yards
- Half the air yards, all the end zone targets
- He gets Mike Jackson who was PFF's 17th ranked CB in Week 1 with a 78.3 coverage grade. He was a free agent acquisition from the Seahawaks where he played the 2nd most snaps last year, allowed a 124.9 pass rating against and allowed 9 scores in his coverage.
- Panthers held down BTJ and Hunter last week, so a small cause for concern.

- Despite Benson taking a bunch of pass catching snaps and routes, Conner got 5 of the 6 RB targets
- The lead back has topped 100 rushing yards in 8 of the last 9 games against the Panthers dating back to last year.

- I'm cautious, he played 1 play in the 1st quarter. one drive spelling conner in the 2nd - 3 for 14. One drive in the 3rd with a zero yard gain and the 52 yarder. Then one drive in the 4th spelling conner and went 3 carries for 8 yards. The statline feels fool's goldy, but it's clear they are spelling Conner a bit more this year than last and Benson has taken over the emari demarcado passing snaps from last year.
- Cardinals are almost touchdown favorites as well
